Is the summer season already over? NO, I don’t think it’s already over which in fact we’re still in the middle of the season. But have you wonder why we’re experiencing an “abnormal” summer? Is this the cause of the Intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), cold front and shallow low-pressure areas (SLPAs) or this is cause by the so called “Global Warming”?
What is this Global Warming all about and why we’re having unprecedented series of rain? Is the Global warming cause of the rain?
Global Warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century. Increasing Global Temperature will cause sea-levels to rise and will change the amount and pattern of precipitation. That may cause rain, drought and etc.
PAG-ASA said, “Global warming could be causing the unusually heavy rains being experienced in the middle of summer in Metro Manila. It’s really unusual to have strong rains in the middle of April. Global warming might be a factor but this is not yet conclusive “.
A La Niña-like condition I may say. La Niña, a global weather phenomenon characterized by the abnormal cooling of the ocean surface, brings extremely wet weather, intensifying the effects of the many tropical storms that strike the country.
Effects of Global Warming:
The effects of Global warming are very vast and wide and already irreversible and may endangered human health and well being and if we don’t act right now we might end loosing our natural resources and worst might end some lives. Global warming will affect more people than does war.
Some of the nations, states, corporations and individuals already implement responses to global warming. Every citizen of the world needs to be aware of rapid climate change. Understand the problem, its causes and threats.
I believe it’s not too late to save the Planet Earth let’s act now. Your small way of contribution is a GIANT STEP to save Mother Earth.
